Elcom, a leading provider of digital experiences through websites, portals, intranets, digital workplaces and learning management solutions to over one million end users, announces the relaunch of the One Door Mental Health (One Door) website.
Since its inception over 35 years ago, One Door has designed and delivered expert mental health programs to support people living with mental illness, their families, carers, clinicians, and practitioners.
One Door has worked with the Elcom team for over a decade and while they were happy with the Elcom team and platform, the previous site website layout was time-consuming to manage due to its vast content including 93 direct links from the landing page. This complexity confused potential users who found navigating through the numerous categories and industry jargon overwhelming. Recognising the need for enhanced clarity around its service offerings and a more intuitive, user-friendly design, One Door aimed to revamp its website.
Elcom's strengths, including business continuity and the support they offered, were significant factors in One Door's decision to continue the partnership. "If a new team member comes on board and they need assistance, I know that Elcom’s team - our Account Manager, Helpdesk Support and Training Manager - will be there to train them and support them with their needs," emphasises Gus Soares, Communications & Marketing Lead.
The new website built on Elcom's Digital Experience Platform offers a streamlined, intuitive design, presenting One Door’s mental health services in an easy-to-find, user-friendly manner.
The relaunch included an overhaul of the existing content. A new list of non-jargon support categories provides more straightforward options for users. Clients can now select specific services like applying for the NDIS, developing a collaborative care plan, and many others that make sense for their needs.
The Find a Service page stands out, enabling users to filter services by category, location, and setting, and view results in either grid or list format. This simplified process makes it easier for users to understand and access all related One Door services that can assist them.
The inclusion of forms on every service page also improves interaction between One Door and its users. Each services page has its own unique referral form which goes straight into each team's inbox, saving time and simplifying processes for teams receiving enquiries.
"The redesign was challenging but rewarding, creating a website that truly reflects our commitment to making a positive difference and advocating for the people we support. We've already seen an increase in intake forms and growth in our services," explains Gus Soares. He continues, "Elcom provided a great service with a deep understanding of what we needed. They gave us space, time, and the understanding required to gather information and implement it. The team's patience was invaluable."
Benefits of the One Door Mental Health website redesign include:
- Users can now easily find different services on a single page, filter them according to specific needs, and reach out for support.
- By starting from 'I need help with', it is easy to see all the available services, increasing cross-pollination across services.
- The redesign simplifies website management, making it less time-consuming for the team to maintain relevancy.
- The site saves time organisation-wide and boosts memberships through increased interaction and streamlined lead generation.
