Our History

Our founder, John Anstey, started Elcom as part of the incubator, ATP Innovations (now known as Cicida Innovations). ATP Innovations was co-founded by leading Sydney universities, with an aim to support those working on technology that cannot easily be replicated.

Though, when we began in 1996, Elcom initially worked on revolutionising the tax industry!
Elcom advised the Australian Tax Office on strategies for e-tax and helped develop the first online tax return system, and in doing so, saved countless hours for millions of Australians when submitting their tax returns.

From there, John steered Elcom to be a leader in the Web Content Management industry in Australia and Elcom became one of ATP Innovation's success stories.

Over 25 years later and with a team of 60+ dedicated staff, Elcom is still passionate about helping organisations with their digital initiatives and changing people's lives for the better.

Tracey

Tracey Schneider

Software Development Director

Tracey has spent over 25 years in software development and has worked in the insurance, engineering, travel, mining and retail industries. She has worked across the systems development lifecycle and has had several leadership positions during her 15 years at Elcom. Tracey is responsible for ensuring the backend of Elcom, product development and customer development, meets client’s business needs and delivers ROI. Tracey manages a team of developers located in Sydney and India.

Josh

Josh Anstey

Customer Solutions Director

Prior to joining Elcom, Josh founded and led a number of start-ups and worked with several organisations to build successful digital and channel strategies. As VP of Customer Solutions, Josh is responsible for the continued customer & partner growth in the North American and Asia Pacific Regions. He works closely with partners to create effective strategies to meet their sales and client’s business goals. Josh assists Asia Pacific clients in their selection of Elcom as their digital platform of choice, enabling them to successfully achieve their digital objectives.

Kesara

Kesara De Silva

Head of Product

Kesara de Silva is the Head of Product at Elcom, where he leads the strategic development and innovation of the Elcom Digital Experience Platform. Since joining Elcom in 2014, Kesara has played a pivotal role in enhancing the platform’s capabilities, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of clients across various industries. With a strong background in software development and a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science from the University of Technology Sydney, Kesara brings over two decades of experience to his role. Prior to Elcom, he held key positions at Ansarada and Orbitz Worldwide/HotelClub, where he honed his expertise in product development and team leadership. Kesara is passionate about leveraging technology to drive digital transformation and improve user experiences. His commitment to innovation and excellence continues to shape Elcom’s product strategy, delivering value to clients and end-users alike.
