Document library Specify which documents to display based on upload locations, how many to display and the look & feel of their display. Associate metadata, and specify access based on security groups. Search and filter documents based on keywords and numerous other criteria. This can be displayed in your intranet in a meaningful and useful way.

Enterprise Search ‘Google-like’ searching and display of documents, articles, images and files. Architected by two of the world’s leading enterprise content search consultants it includes taxonomy, best bets and thesaurus components. Fully security aware it respects security trimming, and provides relevance indicators, keyword highlighting and search-by-section narrowing.

Corporate compliance The corporate compliance module ensures users separate content from design certifying that content changes comply with approved corporate design guidelines. This includes a sophisticated Audit Trail.

Dynamic content widgets Add content blocks anywhere throughout your site, on templates and articles, with easily configurable feeds of dynamically generated information.

Form Creator Capture data using the point and click form creator tool. Designed for the everyday user (no need for technical input), creating Feedback, Inquiry, Quote request forms is a snap.

Workflow Comprehensive audit processes for approval of content and forms. Allows unlimited numbers of workflow ‘baskets’ with complete parallel workflow and branching functionality.

Active Directory integration Seamlessly integrate Community Manager into your Windows based network environment with out-of-the-box Active Directory support. Note: AD integration is usually only used in Intranet and Extranet scenarios.

Blogs Create multiple blogs, each with their own user security privileges. Manage and moderate blogs and comments, optionally restrict access via user groups and control editing of posts.

Calendars Add events to individual and group calendars Search and view personal and group calendars based on security permissions. Multiple calendar formats, alerts and event reminders, plus the ability to build calendar planners (Eg school terms and holidays).

Developer API You can build your own integration processes and control the flow of data in to and out of Community Manager. Controlled via the powerful CM Security framework and audited for later reporting, the API enables full enterprise integration capability.

Events Manager A complete event management system for organising public and private events. Supports attendance limits, credit card payments, group bookings, alerts, SMS reminders and much more.

FAQ Manager Simple maintenance of Frequently Asked Questions with the ability to setup sections, and then within each section specific topics. Dropdown show/hide of answers, with the ability to link to specific articles for more information. Access to FAQs can be secured via security groups.

Forums A complete forum module with full user administration integrated in. Users and roles, email notification, message administration, unlimited forums and posts, separate styling and top contributor rankings are all included.

Image library Store, search and retrieve images, adding descriptions and ALT tags. Storage is folder based and Image searches return image thumbnails. Bulk upload via email and FTP, and synchronise with FTP or database directories.

Local Administration Give a power user local admin access to a subset of the site allowing them to create and manage users and groups within their section.

My Account A place for users to save searches, favourite pages, review their calendar, upcoming training, general work and modify theur user profile.

Online dictionary Easily administer an entire dictionary of terms, and link to the definition in articles. Link content to or search the online dictionary.

Polls Allows simple polls to be inserted into articles and content. Easy to report on results and the ability to time control the display of polls.

Surveys and Testing Create and report on in-depth surveys or tests. A large range of answer types (date, numeric, text, multiple choice, drop down lists, etc) are supported along with time based testing, anonymous and invitation only scenarios. Full reporting and export.

Federated Search Simultaneously search across multiple databases including crawled web sites and external file systems.

Taxonomy Manager Create Taxonomy and use it to tag all content. Once the content is tagged, Dynamic Widgets and Enterprise Search can be enhanced to filter, refine and browse content based on the tags.

Thesaurus The ability to create or import an XML based thesaurus which can be used to underpin the Enterprise Search capability of CommunityManager.NET by suggesting broader and narrower terms.

Wikis Create a wiki integrated with system security, using the same easy process as creating an article. Articles can be converted to Wiki folders to allow multiple user collaboration and posting of edits.

Security The simple-to-administer security allows control of every function and role, even down to setting rules for user password strength. Integration with Active Directory is available out-of-the-box.

Editing Writing and maintain content is simple for all levels of user. The WYSIWYG editor supports all common functions (similar to Microsoft Word) including formatting, Find & Replace, Spell check, Paste from Word, Cut, Copy and Paste, Insert images, Tables, Flash, multimedia, Article elements, Special characters and much more.

Publishing Full control over publishing is provided, with everything from single click publish, through to minute control over article attributes, SEO elements, scheduling of availability and workflow processes for signoff and approval.

Content Manager Easy management of ALL content, including articles, images, video and audio from one easily searchable screen. Consider it your own mini-DAMS (Digital Asset Management System).

Folder level styling Each folder can have its own styling, allowing different areas of the business, or departments of the company, to control their own look & feel. Articles placed in each folder automatically inherit the styling presets of the folder.

Secure Used by large companies, councils and Government departments across Australia.

Acknowledgement Insert ‘I have read and understood’ acknowledgement buttons on any content. Button submission is recorded against user records.

Base Modules

Reporting & management reporting View summarised reports and drill down into content. Report on folders, articles, users, subscribers, members, article and template usage, events, business matching and statistics. Reports can be extracted to Excel for further analysis.

Web statistics Extensive report options on site activity, including hourly, daily, weekly & monthly hits, page views, referrers, search engines, entry & exit pages. Marketing and visitor overviews, traffic, spider and browser reports and much more.

Site personalisation Personalise the site per user, allowing them to be directed to a specific folder or location when signing in. Articles can be tagged to personalise content (eg refer to user by name).

My Work A listing of current items of interest for the logged in user. Includes workflow baskets they need to interact with, emails, documents and article checkouts.

Document Library Upload and display documents and specify how the documents display and the look and feel. Specify access based on security groups. Documents can also be searched and filtered based on keywords and numerous other criteria.

Image library Store, search and retrieve images, adding descriptions and ALT tags. Storage is folder based and Image searches return image thumbnails. Bulk upload via email and FTP, and synchronise with FTP or database directories.

Image hot-spots Display database info via mouse-over of images or image maps. Image hot-spots can be linked to descriptions, article sections and popups.

Multimedia library Ability to import and categorise multimedia files including MP3, WMV and Flash files. Files can be inserted into articles.

Version control All changes to article content and attributes are stored, allowing the user to roll back at any time to a previous version. There is no limit to the number of versions saved.

Multiple menus Configure multiple user-specific menus (eg a different menu for each department in a company). Each area of a site can have its own look & feel, with the option of different left/top menus.

Recycle bin A complete recycle bin for articles is provided, with deleted articles kept either indefinitely or purged on a pre-set interval (eg 30 days). One of the most requested features of Community Manager over the last three years!

Advertising Manage online ad applications and campaigns, with the ability to support public requests for advertising inclusion. Can be integrated with workflow processes for calculating ad selection and delivery.

Automated news Allows news items to be configured to automatically display in nominated areas. Articles can be classified as ‘news’ articles, allowing them to be included in automatic displays, or entire folders can be set. A ticker can be configured and the formatting styled individually.

E-card Send personalised E-cards to selected mailing lists or individual recipients.

Email a friend Easily add Email-a-Friend functionality to any page, menu or template, including image links.

Competition Management Add competitions to your site, based on either random or skill based criteria. Use simple form creator tools to configure competition layouts and either system determined or user judged winner processes. Competitions can be restricted to single or multiple-entry, and included with referral campaigns.

Email marketing Easily import to and manage an unlimited number of mailing lists. Create HTML email campaigns (fully compliant with the Federal Government Privacy Act) and track statistics.

Membership Full registration, permission and security capabilities. Integrated approval processes, paid membership handling and member profile management. Complete reporting, Email marketing campaign and Event interaction.

RSS Readers & Publishers Easily display external RSS feeds on your site. Publish fully configurable feeds of content to anyone with an RSS reader. Allow users to subscribe via RSS to real time content updates.

Share price feed Add an Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) stock ticker price to any page with a simple click. Price information is updated regularly and cached for maximum response performance.

eShop – Online eCommerce store A complete online store package with products and catalogues, categorisation, images, volume discounts, coupons, payment gateways, Australia Post integration, product rotators, related items, sales tax engine, shipping, import & export and extensive reporting.

Product selector Intelligent product selection and display based on two criteria options – decision tree, or category listing. Template driven display of products (eg simple view, detailed view, etc). Works seamlessly with the eShop online store.

Staging | Production An extremely powerful tool that allows a complete staging/test environment to be pushed to the live site with a single button. Saves hours of time and eradicates deployment issues.

Audit trails Complete audit trail of user’s navigation through the site. Can be set site wide, or limited to specific articles. Full reporting of access and editing performed.

Training Manager Allows sophisticated management of staff training programs with visual training pathway designers, simple staff tools and powerful reporting.

Multi-site Manage multiple sites from a single Community Manager deployment. Allows sharing of content, including pages, documents and images across all multi-sites, minimising maintenance and management. (Note, not all modules are multi-site capable eg eShop and Research dashboard are not available as multi-site).

Quiz Create a quick quiz. Limited answer types (compared to Survey modules), allows page breaks and scoring breaks.

Chat Real-time text based chat (eg for providing customer support). Conversations are logged and can be reported on (eg hourly, weekly, monthly). Up to six concurrent conversations can be managed (each answered separately).

Developer framework Build directly on top of the Community Manager platform using Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET – using either VB.NET or C#. With full access to the Community Manager framework and SQL Server database tables, your developers can build additional custom functionality right into your site. Skin pages, manage 128 bit encrypted payloads, and create custom article elements that can be added to any article.

XML/Flash interface Publish via XML to Flash based websites. Pull XML from Community Manager articles and menu content into external Flash based sites.
