Overview
The events management module is a complete system for managing public and private events. It has integrated bookings, payments, group bookings, alerts and SMS reminders. Underpinning the system is the Community Manager Framework and SQL database that stores all events data including registrations and attendance. The interface provides all the features necessary for simple events all the way to international trade shows.

Metadata and Taxonomy
Events pages can conform to AGLS metadata standards by entering the relevant metadata. In addition to this custom taxonomy tags can be applied. The taxonomy tags are used in conjunction with Dynamic Content Widgets and faceted search. These tools allow users to automatically populate pre defined pages with the latest event information and display the events as a drill down option in search results.
Images
Thumbnail and detail page images can associated with the event and can optionally be displayed on the events listing and detail pages.
Notifications and Reminders
Notifications - Emails are SMS’s sent to the user at the point of registration. Notification content can be customised using the Community Manager nominated articles feature.
Reminders – Email or SMS’s sent out at specified dates. Reminder content can be customised using the Community Manager nominated articles feature.
Completion notification – A completion notification is an email sent to a specified email address informing the recipient that the event has finished and that the event can now be removed or archived.
Basic Search
The basic search box can be inserted as an element or cut and pasted into any page. The event search box is the same utility as the site wide search however it is configured by the event admin to only search events.
Advanced Search
The advanced event search is a page which provides the ability to refine by event type, location and date. To deploy this search the admin creates an article and specifies in the article attributes to load the advanced event search page.

Event Display Options
There are various display options to suit a wide number of scenarios...
List view
The list view is a sort able list of events display in date order ascending. User can sort by column heading. Field display options are Thumbnail Image | Event | Location | Date and | Cost and a course selector (training configuration).


Dynamic Content Widgets
Dynamic Content Widgets can be configured to display events and/or events that have been tagged with particular taxonomy tags. The widgets can be cut and paste into any page.
