The Requirement
Selleys Trade needed to re-brand the Selleys trade site to have a consistent look and feel to the Selleys retail site and a Content Management System (CMS) enabling the content on the website to be easily managed.
Other requirements of the Selleys Trade project included:
- Search engine optimisation for the trade product range
- Improved ability to manage content on the website
- Improved presentation of Selley’s trade products
- Improved communication of technical data for trade users
- Overall trade range re-branding, in what was largely a neglected area of Selleys
The Solution
Elcom worked closely with Selleys representative to develop a clear understanding of what Selleys would like promoted via the website. Elcom implemented its Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS), CommunityManager.NET and a range of modules to fulfil the requirements of Selleys Trade.
The creation and configuration of a newsletter facility to allow easier communications and promotions of products to trade users was implemented through CommunityManager.NET. The implementation of technical data in PDF form via the website enables easier access for trade users to necessary information.
The solution Elcom provided to Selleys Trade also included:
- Centralised promotion of trade products, grouping related products
- Implementing techniques to improve search engine optimisation
- Implementing solutions that will provide easier site maintenance to Selleys staff
