The Requirement
Perisher, the largest ski resort in the southern hemisphere approached Elcom to investigate ways of implementing an Online orientation training package to replace their existing manual system of training staff.
The key objectives were:
- Improved compliance of company policies, including OHS & code of conduct
- Improved customer service through accurate and consistent information
- Improved internal communications for permanent and temporary Perisher staff
- Central knowledge base for all Perisher staff to access
- Reduction in excessive handling of paperwork and reduced mailing costs to supply training documentation to staff
The Solution
With very tight timeframes associated with the project, Elcom assembled an experienced team of creative designers, developers and implementation specialists to work with Perisher staff to identify and document the online training package requirements. Once all requirements were identified, suitable solutions were investigated to best meet the documented requirements.
Selected for its scalable and robust content management ability, CommunityManager.NET coupled with selected modules was implemented, providing seamless flow to Perisher staff to complete their orientation training to the highest level and in a timely manner.
