Publishing to the Web via MS Word
|
For a number of years Web Content Management vendors have claimed that their products support the ability to seamlessly publish from Word to HTML. However, many discovered that this was simply an overstatement of the product’s capabilities. It is widely accepted that when Word converts content to HTML it creates confusing inline css and other strange tags. That was until the Office 2007 / 2010 era. The built in Office conversion is still rudimentary at best, however, there are tools which can augment the process and produce clean, semantic HTML. The only way to do justification to the overall quality of this process is to show it working in CommunityManager.NET, the Elcom Web CMS.
